Working closely with our clients produces the best results for everyone involved with our projects. As a local company we are able focus on a small scale of production, giving each home the necessary attention to create the best possible product.

35th Street Residence

Location: Austin, TX

Architect: Forsite Studio

Another project close to the heart for us, since it was in the early stages of RubyAnne. This remodel was full of creative ideas, including steel countertops, using old siding for sliding doors into the Master Bath, re-purposed ship lap interior wall board and more. We were able to completely overhaul the floor plan on this old home in Hyde Park without changing its enduring character and historic feel. Private bedrooms and baths exist on the east side of the home, while the communal areas all bleed into one another on the west side of the home.

Well, we designed a Prefab. We think building sustainably is always the goal. Our Prefab uses SIP Paneling (Structurally Insulated Panels) that are made to size for walls and ceilings. Each panel is set then raised into place, then connected to adjacent walls. You have to see it to believe it. Efficiency is a big part of sustainability, and this Prefab design represents these qualities. There are a few different configurations available, keeping in mind lot sizes and/or available room on a lot is unique.

A personal favorite of ours, since it was the first. This was a home that was lived in by military on a barracks somewhere near Austin. It was moved to East Austin in the 1970's and largely neglected. We gave it some new life, wrapping it in old barn wood and a metal roof, adding a loft and a kitchen in the interior. Adding more years to this structure and giving it a fresh start felt amazing... not shown are the jacuzzi and airstream guest house adjacent to the structure.

Old Baldy Trail Residence

Client: Personal Residence
Location: Driftwood, TX
RubyAnne Designs: Contractor

Designer: Rural Theory

Who wouldn't leap at the opportunity to convert an old metal barn into a Hot Rod Showroom??? This old storage unit was purchased with the land it is set on in Driftwood Texas, about 30 min from Downtown Austin. The main objective was to update the bathroom, install a new kitchen, install some more natural light, insulate the whole structure and park some hot rods inside. The space serves as both an office and showroom for the owner. Don't miss the beautiful shelf running through the newly installed steel window or the ornate carriage doors installed in front of the roll up door!
